Azerbaijan at Croatia 3/21/19 - EURO Cup Qualifiers Picks & Predictions

Croatia did not have much luck in the UEFA Nations League and actually relegated from their group. They will now look to do much better in the EURO Cup Qualifiers that start this week. They will start with a really easy match at home, where they will host Azerbaijan on Thursday. Azerbaijan did a solid job in the UEFA Nations League but are expected to have a tough time here.

Croatia were in a really tough group in the UEFA Nations League, along with England and Spain. They won just one match and finished at the bottom of the group (1-2-1), scoring just four goals and conceding 10 in the process. However, they have been really strong at home, as they are undefeated there since a 2-1 loss to Belgium back in 2013. They have kept eight clean sheets in 14 matches since then (10-0-4) and averaged 2.29 goals per match. Azerbaijan were in a far inferior group in the UEFA Nations League, in the fourth tier along with Kosovo, Faroe Islands and Malta. They finished with a solid 2-1-3 record and finished 2nd, behind only Kosovo who were the surprise package. Azerbaijan had a 1-1-1 record on the road, scoring four goals and conceding five in the process. However, they have not had much luck in the EURO Cup qualifiers, losing a whopping 75% of their matches (6-45-9).
