The La Liga is back in action this week and there is a really interesting match on Sunday, when Sevilla will host Atletico Madrid. Both teams were in really great form before the winter break and are sitting at the 3rd and 2nd spot respectively.
Sevilla (9-3-5) recorded a rather anxious draw on the road against Leganes in their last match. Their opponents took an early lead in that match but Ben Yedder pulled even for Sevilla at the stoppage time for the final 1-1. Sevilla are now undefeated in their last six matches in all competitions (3-0-3). They are sitting at the 3rd spot of the league table with 32 points, two behind Atletico Madrid and five behind Barcelona. They are always great at home (6-1-1) where they have ten consecutive wins in all competitions.
Atletico Madrid (9-1-7) will be feeling lucky about the 0-1 home win against Espanyol in their last match. Their opponents were much better throughout the whole match but Atletico Madrid scored the only goal of the match at the 56th minute from the penalty spot. They are now undefeated in their last 13 matches in all competitions and have kept eight clean sheets (9-0-4). Atletico Madrid are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the league table with 34 points, three behind Barcelona. But they have not been very strong on the road (2-1-5).
