Atlanta United at Toronto FC 6/26/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Toronto have been in really bad shape over the past couple of months and they will now look for a way out when they will host Atlanta United on Wednesday. Atlanta United looked really sharp in the US Open Cup and have been in really good form lately.

Toronto FC (5-7-4) met a really bad loss on the road against Dallas, but I specifically said that this would happen for various reasons. That loss means that Toronto are now win-less in their last eight matches in all competitions, keeping just one clean sheet in that span (0-5-3). Toronto have now fallen to the 7th spot of the Eastern Conference with 19 points. Their home record is a really balanced 3-3-3, with eight of those matches featuring Over 2.5 Goals. Atlanta United (8-5-2) are coming off a couple of solid performances in the US Open Cup, where they overcame Charleston and, after that, Columbus Crew. They are now undefeated in their last four (3-0-1), scoring at least twice in all three wins. Atlanta United are sitting at the 4th spot of the Eastern Conference with 26 points, one behind DC United and Montreal. They still don’t have an away draw after seven matches in all competitions (4-4-0).

This will be the second match for the two in this season, with Atlanta having won the first by 0-2 at home. There is now balance in this match-up (1-1-3), with all four previous matches having featured goals from both sides and at least four goals. Going with Atlanta on this one, as Toronto are really weak without their stars.
