Arsenal at Watford 9/15/19 - Premier League Picks & Predictions

The Premier League returns after a break for international play when Watford hosts Arsenal on Sunday at Vicarage Road.

Arsenal will look to take advantage of Watford hiring a new manager while the season is in play and Unai Emery will have his men attacking early and often. The Gunners will likely have a great deal of pace on the front three led by Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Emery is keen on taking all three points in this match after losing to Liverpool and drawing with Tottenham prior to the break. 

The Hornets will have a new manager on the touchline as Quique Sanchez Flores replaced the sacked Javi Gracia after a poor start to league play. Watford sits at the bottom of the table at 0-1-3 and just one point. The Watford back line should be helped by the return of Flores as the Spaniard is known for a defensive style of play.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the Gunners in scoring with three goals in four matches, while Alexandre Lacazette has scored two goals in three appearances. Bernd Leno is 2-1-1 in net for the Gunners. The German goalkeeper has one clean sheet in four appearances. Arsenal is 4-2-4 in its last 10 fixtures dating back to last season, which includes 1-0 victory over Watford on April 15. 

There is not much scoring on the Watford side after four matches. Andre Gray and Will Hughes have each scored one goal and the two goals are the only two scored by the Hornets. Ben Foster is 0-1-3 in four appearances in net for the Hornets to begin the 2019-20 campaign. Watford dating back to the end of the 2018-19 campaign is 1-2-7 with its only victory a 2-1 win over Huddersfield on April 20.
