Alaves at Betis 2/17/19 - La Liga Picks & Predictions

Betis did a really great job in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32 against French side Rennes and took a nice advantage back home. They will now have just a few days to recover before playing host to Alaves on Sunday. Alaves have been a fresh surprise in the La Liga and will come here looking for points.

Betis (9-9-5) found themselves down by two goals at the 10th minute of their away match against Rennes but managed to claw their way back and hold out for a 3-3 draw. Betis have played a lot of matches lately and the fatigue is starting to show (1-2-4). They are currently sitting at the 8th spot of the league table with 32 points, three points behind Alaves and the top-six spots. Betis have been solid as hosts this season (6-3-3), where they have three more wins and five draws in other competitions. Alaves (10-8-5) are coming into this match after a really easy 0-2 home win against Levante. They enjoyed that success, as prior to that they were win-less in four (0-3-1) and had lost three in a row. Alaves have not been this bad all season though, as they are still sitting at the 6th spot with 35 points. That spot grants a Europa League ticket and Alaves are dead serious to cash out. But they have not been very stable on the road so far (4-7-1) and have lost six of their last eight on the road (1-6-1).
