AFC Bournemouth 0.75 (-103)
In the English Premier League, Bournemouth are set to host Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth have had a terrible season and are currently fighting to avoid relegation. Bournemouth are currently in 19th position on the Premier League ladder with 27 points from their 33 games. Bournemouth are 4 points behind Watford who are in 17th position. That means Bournemouth have plenty to achieve so we should see great determination from the Bournemouth players. That being said, Bournemouth were beaten in their previous outing as they lost 5-2 against Manchester United. While the result was expected, the manner of the defeat was disappointing and it showed that the team had serious defensive issues. Bournemouth only managed 28% of the possession and allowed Manchester City to have 10 shots on goal. Bournemouth must improve if they wish to compete in this match.
On the other side of the coin, Leicester City are currently 4th on the ladder and fighting to ensure they qualify for the Champions League next season. It has been a good season for the Foxes and that is evident by the fact that they are ahead of teams like Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham. Leicester City only managed a draw in their previous outing where they faced Arsenal away from home. Despite that result, Leicester City are still in the top 4 and they will be hoping to maintain that position for the rest of the season.
Leicester City hosted Bournemouth earlier in the season at the King Power Stadium. It was a good match for Leicester as they won 3-1 at home. Jamie Vardy was in good form as he scored twice for Leicester City during the win.
Looking at all the information, I am going to pick Leicester City to win this match. Bournemouth have struggled and they are in a poor situation and I don’t see them having the strength required to challenge the top teams. Due to the big gap in quality, I see Leicester City winning this match and securing all 3 points.
