The Wild are heading into the game here after losing in a shutout to the Sharks. Even with a 27-24-7 record on the year the Wild were not doing well enough for management and released Bruce Boudreau who had been the headman for the Wild for a while.

This year the Wild have ended up scoring at a clip of 3.02 goals per game. The defense for the Wild has been horrible on the year compared to years past giving up 3.17 goals a game. The Wild have converted on the power play at 22% on the year and ended up killing off 74.9% of the penalties on the season.

The Canucks ended up losing their last game to the Anaheim Ducks by a 5-1 score. The loss actually dropped the Canucks to 3rd place in the Pacific Division. What else it did was drop the Canucks to 32-22-5 on the year so far.

When it comes to putting the puck in the back of the net the Vancouver team has scored at a clip of 3.19 goals per game. The defense for the Vancouver team has allowed 3.02 goals a game. The Canucks have converted on the power play at 23.7% on the year and the Canucks have ended up killing off 80.2% of the power plays faced.

The Wild have not really had a lot of improvement on the year and that cost Bruce Boudreau his job. The downside is the Wild even with the new coaching staff in place will not improve at all. Look for the Canucks to bounce back from the loss against the Ducks and that will help the Canucks start to move up in the standings or hold steady. Final Score Prediction, Vancouver Canucks win 4-2.
