The Wild are coming into this game after a very disappointing loss in the opening game. The Wild ended up allowing the Predators to score a total of 5 goals against them. The Wild offense played at the same exact level they have in the past and what has really been a frustrating point for Devan Dubnyk and that was the completely lack of offense in the game.
Dubnyk in the game was really pushed hard by the Predators offense. However, he did face a lot of shots in the game as well. He did save 87.1% of the shots that he was able to face. That was a decent percentage for the number of shots that he ended up facing in the game.
The Avalanche were able to pick up a win on the opening night. The win was a great offensive performance for the Avalanche as they ended up scoring a total of 5 goals in the game. The defense for the Avalanche did have some struggles on the day as they allowed 3 goals against the Flames, but the Flames offense is rather good and has quite a bit of talent as well.
The Avalanche ended up getting a very decent game from Philip Grubauer who was able to turn away 90% of the shots that he faced. That should be able to improve in this game as the Wild offense has been lacking in some regards on the year and that will show up in the game here as well.
