The Vegas Golden Knights are set to meet the Dallas Stars for game 3 of the Western Conference finals. The Vegas Golden Knights were able to knot the series even at 1-1 after winning game 2 against the Dallas Stars, 3-0. Paul Stastny had a productive outing for the Golden Knights as he contributed 1 goal and 1 assist while William Karlsson and Tomas Nosek were able to pitch in a goal as well. The Vegas Golden Knights dominated the Dallas Stars in the shot department (32-24), and they also held the upper hand in the faceoff circle (30-19).

The Vegas Golden Knights had a great game on the defensive side of the ice as they held the Dallas Stars scoreless on 24 shots. The Golden Knights starting goaltender Robin Lehner had a productive game in the crease as he recorded 24 saves and his 4th shutout of the postseason. The Golden Knights weren’t able to capitalize on many man-up situations as they went 1 for 6 on the powerplay.

The Dallas Stars weren’t able to have as much success in game 2 as they had in game 1 as the Vegas Golden Knights dominated them on both sides of the ice, 3-0. The Dallas Stars were unable to put the puck in the back of the net on 24 shots, but their superstars got the looks they needed as Tyler Seguin recorded 4 shots while Corey Perry and Jamie Oleksiak each pitched in 3 shots. The Vegas Golden Knights were able to out physical the Dallas Stars as they had a clear advantage in the hit department (55-47).

The Dallas Stars struggled to keep the Vegas Golden Knights off the scoreboard as they allowed them to score 3 goals on 32 shots. The Stars starting goaltender Anton Khudobin struggled in the crease as he recorded 24 saves while also allowing all 3 Vegas goals, and his overall postseason stat sheet took a hit as he is posting a GAA of 2.82 and save percentage of .912

The Vegas Golden Knights were able to get back on track after a sluggish game 1 against the Stars, but they showed why they are a Stanley Cup contender in game 2 as they dominated on both sides of the ice over 60 minutes. Robin Lehner will most likely be the starting goalie for the Knights for the remainder of the postseason as he has pitched 4 shutouts, and he will continue to stiffen the Stars enough for the scoring explosion to take over. The Golden Knights have received production from all over their lineup as 4 different guys are recording double-digit points and 8 additional guys have at least 5 points. The Golden Knights proved that they can be physical in their zone and limit the scoring opportunities for Dallas, and they will continue to have success in game 3. Final Score Prediction, Vegas Golden Knights win 4-3.
