Looking at this matchup it will actually be a lot closer than what is expected. The Golden Knights had to wait most of the night  before they were able to make the long run and that type of slow start is something Vegas does not need right now. The Dallas Stars, for their part played very consistent hockey all year long and now is looking like a team that could really pull off some great upsets with their consistent play.

Tyler Seguin was the offensive leader for the Stars with 50 points and 33 assist. Denis Gurianov led the goal scoring for Dallas with a total of 20 goals scored. The Golden Knights were able to rely on Max Pacioretty for the points total at 66 and goals with 32. The assist leader for the Golden Knights was Mark Stone with 42.

Ben Bishop is one of the starters for the Stars and should start this game. Bishop posted a 21-16-4 record in the regular season. When it came to goals allowed Bishop only gave up 2.50 goals per game and saved 92% of the shots.

The Golden Knights are projected to start Marc Andre-Fleury. During the regular season he posted a 27-16-5 record. Fleury allowed a total of 2.77 goals a game while saving 90.5% of the shots that he had to face during the regular season.

Vegas is one team that did make the round robin based off of how they played all year long. However, this year the Golden Knights were also a very slow starting team and that will make it difficult for Vegas to be seen as a serious threat in this game here. I look for Dallas to perform consistently in the game, but also be coming out on top in the game as the Golden Knights start off slow and flat. Final Score Prediction, Dallas Stars win 4-2.
