Vegas Golden Knights at LA Kings 4/12/21 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Vegas is heading here after playing in back to back games. The game on Sunday was against the Arizona Coyotes in what should be a thrilling game. The game before play on Sunday ended up being a win for Vegas by a 7-4 score. With the blowout win the Golden Knights moved to a 26-11-2 record on the season so far.

The Golden Knights have managed to produce to the tune of only 3.26 goals per game. The power play for Vegas is converting at a clip of 17.5% on the year and the penalty kill for Vegas has ended up killing off 84.5% of the power plays faced. The Golden Knights as a defense has allowed only 2.31 goals per game.

The Kings get a day off on Sunday after playing the Sharks late on Saturday night. The game against the Sharks ended up being a win for the Kings with the final score of 4-2. The Kings with the win ended up moving to a record of 16-18-6 on the year.

Los Angeles has not been consistent on either side of the puck this year and have a total of 2.73 goals per game. The defense for the Kings has allowed 2.80 goals per game. The power play conversion for Los Angeles sits at 21.5%, but the penalty kill is sitting at 84.9%.

Vegas is one team that should be favored here, but coming into the game after playing the Coyotes on Sunday will leave the Golden Knights tired. Not to mention the Vegas team tends to have a little bit of a let down when the team is coming off of high scoring games and that is what happens here. The Kings have an added day of rest and are playing at home which allows the Kings to sleep in their own beds as well, instead of a hotel and that leads to the Kings getting the win here. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Kings win 3-2.
