The Vancouver Canucks will be on the road Monday night for an Eastern Conference match up with the Montreal Canadiens. Vancouver is struggling immensely thus far this season with a 6-13-2 record overall after losing four of the last five games played including three in a row following a 4-2 loss to Columbus. Thatcher Demko struggled immensely in the net for Vancouver posting a .850 save percentage after stopping 17 of 20 shots in just over 58 minutes on the ice.

Offensively Vancouver has been one of the worst teams in the league thus far this season averaging only 2.29 goals per game on 33.4 shots as a team. J.T. Miller lead the team with 19 points and both a team high seven goals on 51 shots this season. Quinn Hughes leads the team with 13 assists. 

The Montreal Canadiens returned home on Monday 6-15-2 on the year following a 6-3 win against Pittsburgh to break a two game losing streak. Josh Anderson led the way from Montreal against Pittsburgh with two goals and one assist in just over 18 minutes on the ice. Christian Dvorak and Tyler Toffoli chipped in for the Montreal offense with one goal and two assists each.

Montreal is one of the bottom feeders offensively in the NHL averaging 30 shots per game to score 2.35 goals as a team. Tyler Toffoli is the motor of the Montreal offense with a team high 15 points as Josh Anderson leads the way with seven goals on 59 shots.

These are two of the worst teams in the league and each will look to turn their seasons around starting Monday night. Take Montreal to pick up a very important home win Monday using the home crowd and the slightly better offense to out last Vancouver.
