Two Team NHL Parlay For Thursday 8/13/20

The NHL quarterfinal series are underway and like with most of the games during the NHL postseason defense and goaltending dominate. That is no exception with these two games and this parlay that includes one from the Eastern Conference and one from the Western Conference.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs Tampa Bay Lightning, TB -131; O/U 5.5

The Blue Jackets and Lightning battled through three periods and five overtimes before Brayden Point finally scored for Tampa Bay to give the Lightning a 3-2 victory and a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Andrei Vasilevskiy made a phenomenal 61 saves in net for the Lightning in a game in which the two teams took a combined 151 shots. Tampa Bay is looking for redemption in this series as they were swept in the playoffs last season by the Blue Jackets after entering as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. No overtimes here, Tampa Bay Lightning wins in regulation 3-1

Calgary Flames vs Dallas Stars, CAL -105; O/U 5.0

The Calgary Flames took a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven NHL quarterfinal series with a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 1. The Flames continue their hot play on the cold ice winning their fourth game in their last five since returning from the long coronavirus hiatus.  Calgary was paced in its victory by Dillon Dube who scored a pair of goals. Dallas has dominated this series winning seven of the last 10 but the Stars have lost nine of their last 10 dating back to before the break and three of four since returning to action last month. Calgary Flames win 3-1
