Two games in the NHL round robin series will take place on Sunday between four of the top teams in the NHL. The Dallas Stars face off against the St. Louis Blues, while the Boston Bruins take the ice against the Washington Capitals with both games expected to be full of action through the three periods.
Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues, STL -140; O/U 5.5
The Dallas Stars have lost each of their first two round-robin games. Dallas opened its round-robin series with a 5-3 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights and followed that with an embarrassing 4-0 loss at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. Dallas has been considered one of the best defensive teams in the NHL but is allowing 4.50 goals-per-game since returning to the ice. St Louis cannot brag about its play as the Blues have lost to Colorado 2-1 and to the Vegas Golden Knights 6-4. Vladimir Tarasenko’s return for the Blues has not had the full impact on the Blues’ top line, but his presence should be felt against what has become a porous Dallas defense. Take the defending Stanley Cup holders to win.
1st half of NHL Parlay: St. Louis Blues -140
Boston Bruins vs Washington Capital, BOS -120; O/U 5.5
The Boston Bruins have played poorly to restart their NHL season losing to the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 and the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2. The Bruins were No. 1 both in the Eastern Conference and the NHL when the season was suspended with an overall record 44-26-12 and 100 points, but the Bruins defense has not played up to par and it's offense has not yet appeared scoring just three goals in two games. Washington hasn't had any more success than the Bruins losing each of its two games 3-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning and 3-1 to the Philadelphia Flyers. However, Washington has displayed a much better defense through its first two games as the Capitals blue line has kept Washington in both games until the end.
