Two NHL teams facing elimination will take to the ice on Thursday and attempt to remain alive in their respective NHL semifinals best-of-seven series. The Philadelphia Flyers must win to force a deciding Game 7 in their series versus the Islanders, while the Vancouver Canucks must do the same when taking to the ice against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Philadelphia Flyers vs New York Islanders: NYI -112; O/U 5
The Philadelphia Flyers were able to stave off elimination in Game 5 of their NHL Eastern Conference semifinals best-of-seven series with a 4-3 overtime victory over the New York Islanders. The Flyers jumped out to a two-goal lead after two periods but let up on the throttle in the third period and the Islanders were able to tie the game and send it to OT. Nevertheless, the Flyers pulled out the victory in the extra period. Philadelphia needs goaltender Carter Hart to come up big again in Game 6, while Kevin Hayes, Jakub Voracek and Scott Laughton must force the action for Philadelphia in the attack zone. Philly evens the series with a 4-2 victory on Thursday.

Vegas Golden Knights vs Vancouver Canucks: VEG -240, O/U 6
The Vancouver Canucks survived their elimination game on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over Vegas in Game 5 in their NHL Western Conference semifinals best-of-seven series. Vancouver was tied 1-1 entering the third period behind a goal from Brock Boeser and went ahead to stay on an Elias Pettersson goal in the final period, to play for another day. Canucks backup goaltender Thatcher Demko stopped 42 shots in net in his first NHL playoff start. The low-scoring Game 5 was an anomaly when these two teams meet as goals come early and often. Expect an offensive explosion at both ends of the ice and the OVER to cash with Vegas winning 5-3
