Tampa Bay Lightning at Montreal Canadiens 3/21/23 - NHL Picks & Predictions

This Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Lightning will head to the Bell Center to take on the Montreal Canadiens. The Tampa Bay Lightning will enter this game against the Montreal Canadiens following a heartbreaking loss against the New Jersey Devils this past Sunday which resulted in a final score of 5-2. Despite the loss against the Devils, the Lightning beat them twice earlier in the week.

In the game against the New Jersey Devils, Lightning superstar Nikita Kucherov became the 2nd player this season to hit the 100-point mark as he scored a highlight reel goal early in the 1st period. Kucherov has been arguably the best player for the Lightning over the last few seasons and his numbers clearly show that. Over the last five seasons, Kucherove has the most points out of all Lightning players as he has 482 points in only 348 games played.

The Montreal Canadiens will enter this game against the Tampa Bay Lightning following a loss against the Lightning this past Saturday which resulted in a final score of 5-3. The Canadiens have now lost two games in a row and have also lost nine of their last ten games played. Safe to say that the Canadiens cannot wait until this season comes to an end.

The Canadiens do have a very bright future ahead of them as they have some of the most talented and skilled young players out of every other team in the league. Caufield was sidelined about a month ago due to a shoulder injury which resulted in him needing season-ending shoulder surgery. Caufield finished this season with 26 goals, 10 assists, and 36 points in only 46 games played.

This game will be nothing short of a mismatch as the Lightning have all the momentum heading into this one as they have now won three of their last four games while the Canadiens are in one of the worst slumps they’ve been in all season long. Expect Kucherov and the rest of the Lightning lineup to beat the Canadiens in every battle on the ice. Final Score Prediction, Tampa Bay Lightning win 6-2.
