The Stars saw Bishop and the defense of the Stars start to have some issues. However, the Dallas Stars are a team that would like to be able to bounce back from the wins they have had in the earlier rounds of the playoffs. Facing the rival Stars the Blues and the Stars had a fairly even regular season series and the playoffs are definitely going to live up to the hype between these two teams who are very familiar with each other.

In the opening game of the series both of the teams traded power play goals already. However, one thing the Blues have to work in is looking at the way to close down the game. The Blues almost let the Stars back into the game as the Stars were able to score late in the 3rd period on the power play and if the Stars had managed to score only a single goal more the game would have been tied. Ben Bishop did not have a good night in the net for the Stars. He only faced a total of 20 shots in the game and only managed to turn away 17 of those shots. He did end up getting a power play save, but also allowed a single power play goal.

The Blues had Jordan Binnington in the net and he did really well as he faced 29 shots and only allowed 2 of them to get by him. He did not have a power play save, but allowed a power play goal. He did face 7 shorthanded shots and turned those away rather easily.

The Blues have a great goalie in Binnington in the net and compared to Bishop, a great goalie in his own right, he looked even better. Throw in the fact that Bishop had some struggles in the first game as the defense really supported him, but Bishop was unable to stop the puck for the Stars and it is very easy to see the Stars struggling again as Bishop is going to be challenged even more. Final Score Prediction, Saint Louis Blues win3-2.
