Sharks at Devils 2/20/20 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Sharks have to be happy that they are not sitting in last place in the Pacific Division. The Sharks are sitting on a 26-29-4 record on the year so far and have been able to hold themselves 3 places out of the basement in the Pacific Division. The Sharks last game ended up being a 5-3 loss to New Jersey.

Scoring for San Jose has been difficult on the year with 2.59 goals a game on the year. The power play for San Jose has only managed to convert at 16.4% on the year and the penalty kill is sitting at 85.9% on the year. When it comes to playing defense San Jose has allowed 3.27 goals a game.

New Jersey is coming into the game here sitting in last place in the Metro Division without much chance of improving from the basement. The Devils have ended up getting a 22-27-10 record on the year so far. In their last game for New Jersey the team was blanked by a Saint Louis Blues tem with a 3-0 score being the final.

Offensively the Devils are starting to show some signs of improvement on the year with 2.72 goals per game this year. New Jersey has allowed 3.41 goals a game on the year so far. When it comes to the power play New Jersey has only converted on 16% of the power plays, but the penalty kill for New Jersey is sitting at a decent 80.9% on the year.

The Devils head into the game here playing decent on their home ice and showed up big in their game against the Blue Jackets. Look  for that to continue in the game here as the Sharks offense is very weak so far and unable to really do much to help keep the games close with their defensive struggles as well. Final Score Prediction, New Jersey Devils win 4-3.
