The Sharks have plenty of talent on their roster, but have not been able to make up the difference in the talent to the wins on the ice. The Sharks are sitting on a 21-22-4 record this year. The Sharks last game on the ice was a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars, in what a lot of people consider to be a shocking win.

Scoring on the year for the Sharks has been fairly shaky at times with only 2.64 goals a game being scored. The defense for San Jose has allowed 3.23 goals a game. The power play for San Jose is converting at 16.7% on the year and the defense has killed off 88.2% of the power plays for the top ranking in the NHL.

The Coyotes are coming into the game here tied with Calgary for the top spot in the Pacific Division. The Coyotes on the year have posted a 25-18-5 record and have a total of 55 points this season. In their last game on the ice the Coyotes ended up getting their 3rd straight loss as the Penguins won the game by a 4-3 score.

When it comes to the offense the Coyotes have ended up getting 2.72 goals a game being scored. The defense for the Coyotes is the real strength of Arizona giving up only 2.53 goals a game. The Coyotes have ended up converting on the power play at a rate of 20.3% on the year and the penalty kill for Arizona is sitting at 83.8% on the year.

The Coyotes are coming into the game here with a great defense, but it has had some lapses in the recent games. The Sharks are heading in with experience at beating great defenses after the recent win for the Sharks over the Stars. Look for the Coyotes struggles to continue in this game as the defense for Arizona has not shown up good in the past 3 games and that presents a problem again for the Sharks. Final Score Prediction, San Jose Sharks win 4-2.
