The Sharks have to figure out what happened in the last game. The Sharks had been a team that could have controlled the series and really shut down the Avalanche in the last game, but wow did Colorado come out in the game hard charging. The Avalanche gave the Sharks a tremendous scare in the game before finally falling 2-1, but the amount of energy the Avs brought into the game was quite a bit more than anything the Sharks had expected to see and that could make the game in Colorado difficult for the Sharks to win. The game was mainly a defensive battle and it was one that Martin Jones was able to really steal the show in. Jones faced a total of 22 shots in the game and he was able to turn away 21 of those shots. Hertl was the offensive spark the Sharks needed to get as the was able to find the back of the net 2 times in the game.

Philipp Grubauer was under intense pressure almost the entire game. Grubauer would face a total of 39 shots in the game. The downside is he would allow 2 of those to get past him and into the back of the net, which made the difference in the game. Jost was able to score the lone goal for the Avalanche in the game and it was definitely impressive, but not the different maker the team needed.

The Sharks have played some great hockey, but for some reason in Colorado the Sharks have struggled on the year and that will continue in this game here. Look for the Sharks to have problems scoring in the game and with the altitude potentially being a factor for the Sharks look for them to look tired and not as strong as normal. Final Score Prediction, Colorado Avalanche win 3-2.
