The Sharks are going to be looking to clinch another win over the Avalanche in this game here. However, it will be a challenge as the Sharks have really expended a lot of energy in the first round, but also in the second round as well. In fact, Brent Burns has logged enough minutes on the ice lately to be a frequent flier it seems. The first game in Colorado was a battle and the Sharks were one that they were able to win, but really it was a challenge as the Sharks scored an empty net goal to secure the win, but before that the Sharks had allowed the Avalanche back into the game towards the end of the game and barely pulled out a goal to get the lead back late in the 3rd. Some of the reasons the Avalanche were able to get back into the game was the fatigue factor that seems to be setting in on the Sharks players. Martin Jones was in the net in the second game for the Sharks and he had to put forth an amazing game. Jones was able to record a total of 25 saves in the game out of the 27 shots that he faced in the game. The downside is the Sharks almost allowed the Avalanche to score on the short handed side of the puck as Jones had 3 short handed saves.

Philipp Grubauer was the goalie for the Avalanche in the game and he was able to save goal 27 times. However, he faced a total of 30 shots and then to make matters even worse he only had a single power play save and he had a pair of shorthanded saves as well.

The Avalanche are playing at home in this game and definitely gave the Sharks a tremendous challenge in the last game. Look for the Avalanche to give the Sharks a challenge in this game. The difference will be the fact that the Sharks offense is not able to get past the Avalanche defense as much as the fatigue starts to catch up with them in this game. Final Score Prediction, Colorado Avalanche win 3-2.
