Senators at Flyers 12/7/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Ottawa is coming into the game here after picking up what many consider to be a shocking win over Edmonton in the last game on ice. The Senators won the game by a score of 5-2 and did not even look challenged in the game. The win actually allowed the Senators to improve to a 12-16-1 mark on the year and have looked like they are getting better each time the Ottawa team takes to the ice.

On the year so far the Senators have ended up scoring at a clip of 2.62 goals a game on the year and have converted on the power play at 9.9%. The defense for the Senators is giving up only 3.10 goals a game and have killed off 82.1% of the penalties faced this year.

Philadelphia will be looking to get back on the winning path in this game. The Flyers recently lost a close 3-1 battle to the Arizona Coyotes and that will definitely be a challenge for the Flyers to bounce back from. Still, the Flyers are sitting n 3rd in the Metro with a 16-8-5 record on the year.

This season the Flyers have been able to do decent on the offensive side of the puck with 3.07 goals per game on the year. The Flyers have converted on the power play at a clip of 18.6% this year. When it comes to playing defense the Flyers have allowed only 2.66 goals a game and have killed off 84.1% of the penalties faced on the year.

The Senators have had flashes of brilliance on the year, but also have had more down time than what they would care to admit. The Flyers, though, have been consistently good on the year and that should continue in the game here for the Flyers who are able to score on the weaker Senators defense and keeps the Senators from scoring a lot of goals. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Flyers win 3-2.
