The Ottawa Senators are easily one of the worst teams in the NHL this year. The Senators are sitting on a 6-10-1 record on the year so far. However, what a lot of people may consider a little bit shocking is the fact that the Senators are sitting in 7th place and ahead of the Red Wings in the standings. The last game on the ice for the Senators was an 8-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau is the leader for the Senators on the offensive side of the puck with 8 goals and 12 points overall. Connor Brown is the leading passer for the Senators with 10 points overall. As a team the Senators are giving up 3.41 goals a game on the year.

New Jersey is sitting in 8th place in the Metro this year. However, the Devils are coming into the game here after recently picking up a nice win over the Vancouver Canucks. The recent win for the Devils actually pushed their record to a 5-7-4 mark on the year and has allowed the Devils to pull within a single point of being out of the last place spot.

Kyle Palmieri is the leader when it comes to goal scoring with 6 goals. Taylor Hall has managed to get a total of 13 assist on the year with 15 points total. The defense for the Devils has been a problem giving up 3.63 goals a game on the season so far.

The Devils are playing decent on the year and that could be a problem for the Senators who are rebuilding. What else does not help the Senators out is the fact that the team has had a lot of problems in getting the wins on the year and that will present an issue for the Senators who are unable to play well in this game. Final Score Prediction, New Jersey Devils win 4-2.
