Ottawa is coming into the game here after losing their last game, like the normal is for the Senators the past 2 years to the Golden Knights. The Senators, though, are a team that has had some decent offensive showings on the year and those have failed them at times. The defense, though, for the Senators is the real problem as when the offense does show up in the game fails them.
Offensively the Senators have managed to score only 2.33 goals a game on the year. The defense for the Senators has given up 3.50 goals a game so far. When it comes to the power play the Senators have failed to convert at all this year, but have done decent killing off the power play at 80% on the season.
Arizona has been able to play decent on the season so far. However, the Coyotes are a team that will have to figure out how to play consistent offense if they would like to continue to improve on the year. The downside is the Coyotes seem to be shaping up like the Wild of old were when they played amazing defense game in and out, but ended up losing a lot because the offense was unable to support the team.
Scoring on the year has been done at a rate of 2.67 goals a game on the offensive side of the puck. The Coyotes have managed to convert at a rate of 29.4% this season. When it comes to the defensive side of puck the team has given up 1.83 goals a game on the year. The penalty kill defense has given off 85% of the opponents power plays.
