Senators at Canucks 12/3/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Ottawa has lost the last 4 games they have played and the last game was a 3-1 loss to Calgary. However, the Senators in the game before that was a 7-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild. The Senators with those recent losses dropped their record to 11-15-1 on the year so far.

On the year the Senators have managed to score at a clip of 2.56 goals a game and have ended up converting on the power play at only 9.3% this season. When it comes to the defense the Senators have improved dramatically over what the Ottawa team has done in the past giving up only 3.07 goals per game and having killed off 82.5% of the opponents power plays.

Vancouver heads into this game tied for 4th place in the Pacific Division. The Canucks have posted a 13-11-4 record on the year so far. When it comes to the last game on the ice the Canucks ended up losing the game by a 3-2 score to the Edmonton Oilers in what actually ended up being a lot closer than what a lot of people expected.

The Canucks on the season have managed to score at a clip of 3.18 goals per game, but have done decent on the power play converting at a clip of 26.4% on the season. When it comes to the goals against the Canucks are giving up only 2.96 goals a game and have ended up sitting on an 81.1% penalty kill on the year.

The Senators have not really played that well at all on the year and it shows, but one bright spot is the Senators defense has started to show quite a bit of improvement on the year. Look for that to continue in this game, but still the Senators do not have the offensive power to compete against the Canucks in this game. Final Score Prediction, Vancouver Canucks win 5-2.
