The Senators need to have a defense that shows up on the year. The Senators have had some issues in defending the net and not all of it is going to fall back on the goalie. The Senators offense, though, has been able to play really well as the team has one of the top ranked offenses in the league.
The goalie who has been in the net for the Senators most of the season has been Craig Anderson who has managed to pick up 12 wins on the season. With Anderson the team has been able to turn away 90.7% of the shots, but still has given up 3.56 goals a game.
For the Canadiens the team has really been playing all over the place on the season so far. However, the Canadiens are playing better defensively than anything the Senators have been able to do on the season. What will really be able to help the Canadiens out is the fact the team has been playing decent on the offensive side of the puck as well.
The Canadiens have had Carey Price in the net for most of the time. Price on the year has been able to 12 wins on the season and has turned away 90.2% of the shots he has faced and he has a goals against average of 2.94.
