Sabres at Oilers 12/8/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Buffalo is one of those teams that have been fairly sketchy at times on the year. The Sabres, though, have improved to the point that the Sabres are sitting in a tie for second place in the Atlantic Division with a 13-11-6 record. The last game on the ice for Buffalo ended up being a 6-5 loss to Vancouver.

On the season so far the Sabres have ended up with a total of 3 goals a game being scored and converting on the power play at 18.1% on the year. The defense for the Sabres is giving up 2.97 goals a game on the year while killing off 74.2%  of the penalties.

Edmonton is heading into the game here sitting in first place in the Pacific, but some of the recent losses have allowed the Coyotes and the Golden Knights to close the gap. The Oilers have an 18-10-3 record overall and have a total of 39 points on the year. The last game for the Oilers was a 2-1 win over Los Angeles.

When it comes to scoring the goals the Oilers have been able to get a total of 3 goals a game on the year and converted on the power play at a clip of 32.2% . The defense for the Oilers has not been that bad either giving up only 2.87goals a game while killing off 86.6% of the penalties faced this year.

The game here should be a battle as the two teams are evenly matched for the most part. The main difference is the fact that the Oilers are coming in playing slightly better in the defensive side of the puck and have a better group of talent. Final Score Prediction, Edmonton Oilers win 3-2.
