Sabres at Jackets 10/7/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

Buffalo has managed to go 2-0 on the year so far and that is really shocking for the Sabres. However, what else the Sabres have been able to do is really dominate the teams they have played and that includes a recent 3-1 victory over the Penguins who completely crushed the Blue Jackets in the last game.

The Sabres on the year have managed to get an average of 5 goals a game on the year so far. That is not saying much as the second win was a 7-2 victory over Ottawa. The defense for the Sabres allowed only 1.5 goals a game on the year so far.

The Blue Jackets are coming in as a team that seems to have lost their way. Granted, the Blue Jackets did lose their star goalie as he left the team in free agency. What doe not help the Blue Jackets out is the fact that the team has not been able to settle on a single goalie to help them in getting the game play that they need to have and keeping the puck out of the net.

The defense for the Blue Jackets is the major issue for the team as they are giving up an average of 5.5 goals a game. The offense, has not been able to do much better as they have managed to score only 1.5 goals a game as the team has 3 goals all year long.
