The New York Rangers are heading into this game after being able to pick up a win in their opening game. However, it was a battle for the Rangers who ended up getting the win in a very big scoring game as the team ended up winning the game 6-4. The game was one that really did not have any defensive efforts from either team and that was a little shocking, but the real shock came from the flurry of offense the Rangers put on the ice.
Now, what could be an issue for the Rangers is they relied very heavily on Mika Zibanejad for most of the offensive effort in the game. He was able to score a total of 4 points and had a goal, but also managed to get 3 assist in the game and helped to lead the Rangers offense.
Ottawa is coming into this game after already losing once on the year so far. However, that was not really a surprise as the Senators defense seems to have picked up at the same spot it did last year. That is going to lead to the Senators having a lot of problems in playing against a team that managed to have a massive offensive flurry in their first game on the year.
Bobby Ryan leads the Senators in the scoring department as he has managed to get a point, but his point came off of a goal. Mark Borowiecki was able to get an assist on the day and that helped the Senators offense out quite a bit as well.
