Rangers at Penguins 4/6/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Rangers season was over pretty much by the middle of January to February. However, the Rangers are one of those teams that could post quite a bit of a problem for a lot of teams this year and it could actually prove to be good for the Rangers as it does allow them to see what kind of talent they do have coming up.

One player the Rangers have come to find as a good talent is Mika Zibanejad who has managed to lead the team in all the major offensive categories he has 30 goals on the year 42 assist for a total of 72 points. All of which are leading the Rangers on the offensive side of the puck this year. With the Penguins they could actually end up sitting some of their players and allow some of the other lines to play longer shift times as the Penguins are going to be looking towards the playoffs they have already clinched a playoff berth. What else could help the Penguins out is the fact that they still have quite a bit of talent even though it is a little bit older and Crosby does seem to have lost some of his stuff that he had when he was younger.

The Penguins on the season have actually seen Sidney Crosby be the overall points leader with 98 points and he has managed to get 64 assist to help lead the team in that category as well. Jake Guentzel is actually the leading goal scorer for the Penguins with 39 goals.

The Rangers going to be putting up a fight in this game, but they're going to fall short. The Rangers cannot match the talent of Guentzel and Crosby at the same time and even with him playing shorter shifts the Penguins reserves still are out matching the Rangers starters. Final Score Prediction, Pittsburgh Penguins win 3-2.
