The Predators get to come into the game in Los Angeles after picking up a home win on Thursday night. Granted, the game was a lot closer and definitely a lot higher in the scoring than what the Predators wanted to have, but it was a win. The Predators ended up getting 6 goals past the Capitals defense and that was impressive, but what the downside is for the Predators is they allowed 5 goals in the game.
With the offense the Predators have been able to score at a clip of 4.33 goals a game on the year. The conversion on the power play has come at a clip of 22.2% on the year, but the penalty kill has sat at 75%. The Predators have allowed only 3 goals on the year so far.
Will the Kings find the defense to counter a great offense that comes from the Predators? That is a key question that Los Angeles has to get answered as the team was completely blown out in the last game they played by the Canucks. The game was one which the Kings did not really show up in offensively either as they only managed to get 2 goals in the game.
With the Kings the team has converted on the power play at 18.2% on the season, but have ended up killing off 66.7% of the penalties they have faced. The other issue the Kings have had on the year is the team has ended up scoring a total of 3.67 goals a game on the year, but have allowed the opponent to run over them giving up 5.67 goals a game
