The Penguins are heading into this game after having a marathon type of scoring game on Sunday when they faced the Rangers. However, the game that was a marathon match was one the Penguins were able to come out on top in the game 6-5. The problem is the near loss also exposed the Penguins defensive flaws as a lot of the teams will be able to study the film and see how to beat the Penguins.

The leading goalie for the wins for the Penguins has been the job of Matt Murray. Murray on the year has managed to bring home 17 wins for the Penguins, but has turned away 91.3% o the shots sent his way. When it comes to his goals against average it sits at 2.93 on the year. The Devils are coming into this game after picking up a couple of straight wins and now find themselves only 4 points down from the Rangers in the standings. However, the Devils are a team that did just beat the Sabres in the last game which seen the Devils offense come to life in the game as they scored 4 goals and only allowed a single goal in the game.

Keith Kinkaid has been the goalie who picked up most of the Devils wins this season with 15. Kinkaid for his part has turned away 89.2% of the shots that have sailed his way, but has been bad at keeping them out of the net with how many shots are coming at him with a 3.34 goals against average.

The Devils have struggled offensively for most of the season and after getting a couple of back to back wins the Devils will have some problems in scoring in this game. What else will not help the Devils out is the fact the defense has struggled a ton on the year. The Penguins are coming off of a high scoring game as well and that will lead to their offense struggling as well. Final Score Prediction, Pittsburgh Penguins win 2-1.
