On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Penguins look for their fifth straight victory when visiting the Boston Bruins. The Penguins improved to 29-12-5 with 63 points following a 7-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild.  Veteran superstar Sidney Crosby returned after being sidelined for two months with an injury and collected four points for the Penguins including one goal and three assists.

In net, Matt Murray is 13-6-4 with a goals against of 2.92 and saves percentage of .896. The Penguins are scoring an average of 3.43 goals per game while allowing an average of 2.72 per game. 

Boston looks to snap a two-game losing streak when hosting the Penguins on Thursday. The Bruins lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-0 on Tuesday and goalie Tuukka Rask suffered a concussion in the loss. Jaroslav Halak replaced Rask late in the first period and made 24 saves but Boston lost its second straight and was shut out for the first time all season.

David Pastrnak leads Boston in goals scored with 36 and points with 66. Brad Marchand is the leader in assists with 43. Jaroslav Halak is 10-4-6 in net with a goals against of 2.46 and saves percentage of .925. Boston is scoring an average of 3.31 goals per game while allowing an average of 2.52 per game.

The Bruins find themselves in a slight tailspin having lost 7 of the last 10 at home and 4 of the last 5 versus an opponent from the Metropolitan Division. However, Boston has had excellent success head-to-head with Pittsburgh.
