Edmonton is sitting in second place in the Pacific Division. The Oilers have ended up with a 32-22-7 record on the year so far and have 71 points total. The last game on the ice for Edmonton ended up being very disappointing in what was a 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

With the offensive talent on the Oilers roster the Oilers should be doing quite a bit better, but only have average 3.15 goals a game. The defense for Edmonton has allowed 3.05 goals a game on the year so far. The Oilers power play has been amazing converting at 29.1% on the season so far. When it comes to the penalty kill on the year the Oilers have killed off 84.8% of the power plays faced.

On the season the Kings have ended up playing dismal getting a 22-34-5 record on the year. The Kings have only managed to get 49 points on the year and that is good enough for last place in the Pacific Division. The last game for the Kings was a shocking win over Florida by a 5-4 score.

This season the Kings offense is not the worse, but definitely not the best with 2.51 goals per game scored. The defense for the Kings have allowed 3.20 goals a game. The power play for Los Angeles has converted at 16.4% on the year and when killing off the penalties the Kings have killed off 75.3% on the year.

The Kings are one team that pulled off a decent win over the Florida Panthers, but are still going to have some problems in the game here as the Kings typically do not play great in 2 games in a row or even in the 3rd game after such an offensive explosion. Look for those issues to continue in the game here for the Kings as the Oilers are able to pull out a nice win in the game. Final Score Prediction,  Edmonton Oilers win 5-2.
