Oilers at Kings 1/5/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings have actually been playing at almost the same type of level this season. The difference is the Kings are not having any luck offensively, but the Oilers have quite a bit of talent Los Angeles Kings have had on ice so far. For the Oilers, they're actually coming into this game after breaking a massive losing streak that they were on but picking up a 3-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes on the road now the Oilers would like to build on the success but that could be a challenge even with how horrible the Kings have been playing so far.

The bright spot for the Oilers on the year has been the play of Connor McDavid who has been playing massive for the Oilers and if it was not for McDavid that Wailers would definitely be suffering as McDavid leads the team with a total of 23 and 38 assist for a combined total of 61 points. The Oilers are still attempting to get some around McDavid on the year. The Los Angeles Kings were just like be happy to finish out the season without them remaining in the basement all year. The downside is the Los Angeles Kings have that has cost them some of the games that they have been playing and so far. However, this does not mean that the Kings roster is depleted and void of talent as I do have quite a bit of talent just it does not show up on the ice all the time and that is what else is crossed the Kings because offense has been horrendous.

So far this year the Kings have relied on Dustin Brown to lead the team in scoring with 11 goals. Drew Doughty has managed to get 19 assists for the Kings. However, Anze Kopitar leads the team and overall points with 26 on the year.

The Oilers are far from being a road Powerhouse team, but they have managed to beat the Coyotes in the last game they are under them in the standings just like the Kings are. Look for the Kings offense to struggle yet again as they are unable to find the back of the net more than twice in this game. The Oilers are led by McDavid and they will showcase his talent and the supporting cast will show up as well. Final Score Prediction, Edmonton Oilers win 3 to 2.
