The New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning are set to meet in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals as they will faceoff at Rogers Place in the Edmonton, Canada bubble. The New York Islanders were unable to capitalize on a game 3 win as they dropped game 4 to the Lightning, 4-1. The Islanders didn’t get much going on the attack as they only scored 1 goal, and that could be accredited to Brock Nelson as he scored a 2ndperiod goal. Josh Bailey was able to record his 20th point of the postseason on an assist. The New York Islanders were outshot by the Tampa Bay Lightning (36-27), and they were dominated in the faceoff circle (34-21).

The New York Islanders struggled at keeping the Tampa Bay Lightning off the scoreboard as they allowed them to score 4 goals on 36 shots. The Islanders starting goaltender Semyon Varlamov struggled in the crease as he recorded 32 saves which pushed his postseason save percentage to .914 and GAA to 2.30. New York was unable to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities as they went 0 for 3.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were able to rebound after a game 3 loss with an impressive all-around performance on both sides of the ice as they won game 4, 4-1. The Lightning were able to receive goals out of Brayden Point and Ondrej Palat as well as an assist a piece while Patrick Maroon and Blake Coleman scored a goal as well. Tampa Bay also received a productive game out of Yanni Gourde and Nikita Kucherov as they recorded 2 assist each.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were solid at keeping the New York Islanders off the scoreboard as they held them to 1 goal on 27 shots. The Lightning starting goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy had a big game in the crease as he recorded 26 saves which pushed his postseason save percentage to .930 and GAA to 1.93. The Tampa Bay Lightning were unable to get much going on the powerplay as they went 0 for 3.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have pretty much dominated the New York Islanders outside of one slip up in game 3, and I think they have high hopes of making the Stanley Cup which will keep them focused in finishing the series here. The Lightning have a start goaltender with Andrei Vasilevskiy, and he is playing lights out in the bubble, but their scoring attack is the most impressive as Kucherov, Point, Palat, and Hedman are all capable of point points on the board. New York has been unable to get much generate offense against the Lightning, and with a trip to the Stanley Cup on the line, I think Tampa Bay puts their heart in this game. Final Score Prediction, Tampa Bay Lightning win 3-1.
