NHL Preseason - Tuesday 10/4/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The NHL preseason continues Tuesday night with six games on the day. Several teams start Tuesday undefeated, and several others are still looking for their first win of the preseason. Despite only a handful of games Tuesday will have a loaded day of action in the NHL.

New York Islanders at Philadelphia Flyers

Both teams have struggled to start the preseason, but Philadelphia will have the advantage in this game as they have played five times this preseason and will lean on their home crowd Tuesday night. Look for Philadelphia to take advantage of a New York Islanders team that has yet to figure things out this fall. Philadelphia will do enough on their home ice to get their second win of the preseason on Tuesday.

Pick: Philadelphia Flyers

Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens

Despite some struggles this preseason Ottawa is playing the much better hockey and will overwhelm a struggling Montreal team. Look for Ottawa to do enough on the road Tuesday night to pick up their third win of the preseason. Montreal has yet to figure things out and will take their fourth loss Tuesday night.

Pick: Ottawa Senators

Carolina Hurricanes at Buffalo Sabres

The Carolina Hurricanes come into Tuesday undefeated thus far this preseason and will look to continue to roll. Buffalo on the other hand has lost only once and will play well enough Tuesday night to defend their home ice. Carolina is likely to rest or limit some of their star players giving Buffalo the edge. Take Buffalo to defend their home ice and hand Carolina their first loss of the preseason.

Minnesota Wild at St. Louis Blues

The Minnesota Wild have looked great this preseason with four wins in four games. Minnesota will look to continue to roll against a good St. Louis team Tuesday night. The Blues will defend their home ice well in front of their home crowd, but Minnesota will do enough to overwhelm them down the stretch leading to their fifth win of the preseason.

Pick: Minnesota Wild

Arizona Coyotes at Vegas Golden Knights

Arizona was one of the worst teams in the NHL last season and that trend has continued in the preseason as they have yet to win a game. Arizona will continue their struggles on Tuesday against a stellar Vegas team on the road. Vegas will control the puck for the full 60 minutes leading to their second win of the preseason.

Pick: Vegas Golden Knights

Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks

Both teams come into this game Tuesday night with multiple wins this preseason and will look to continue to roll against an end state rival. Los Angeles has looked good with two wins in four games, but Anaheim has been the better of the two. Look for Anaheim to continue to roll on their home ice as they get their fourth win of the season against Los Angeles.
