NHL Preseason - Monday 9/26/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The first Monday of the NHL Preseason is finally here and it comes with a loaded day of action. Monday will see 7 different teams in action as well as a double header between 2 teams. Most teams will not go 100% on Monday as we are still a while away from the real season but with 7 games on the day we will get an idea of things to come.

Florida Panthers at Nashville Predators ( Game 1)

Both teams come into this season with high expectations after each team fell just short a year ago. These are 2 of the most talented teams in all of the NHL and it will show from the opening face off Monday. Nashville will do enough in game 1 to send the fans home happy following a win.

New York Islanders at New York Rangers 

This is a great matchup for an early preseason game as the New York bragging rights will start early. Most guys in this game probably won't see a lot if any action during the regular season matchup between these teams but it will be a good kick off to get a Mid Season feel in a Preseason game.

New Jersey Devils at Montreal Canadiens

Both teams teams had abysmal seasons a year ago and will look to make a vast improvement this season. Neither team will see much action from their key guys in this game as this one could get rather sloppy. With that said the home crowd will be the difference as they lead Montreal to the preseason win.

St. Louis Blues at Dallas Stars

Both of these teams had good seasons a year ago and will look to repeat that this year as each will push for the cup. St. Louis has the advantage in this game having already played a preseason game. Look for the Blues to overwhelm Dallas as they have more of an idea of what direction they are going in the preseason.

Florida Panthers at Nashville Predators ( Game 2)

Much like game 1 of this matchup on Monday there will be a lot of unknown names and faces. Both teams are likely to sit everyone expected to make a real impact this season leaving game 2 to the young guys.The crowd will agains play a factor in this game as Nashville gets the Monday sweep leading to the win.

Edmonton Oilers at Seattle Kraken

Seattle was one of the worst teams in hockey a year ago and haven't done enough to make the turn this year. Despite key guys seeing spot minutes or no time at all Edmonton is the far better team here and will get the win. Edmonton will open the preseason with a victory Monday night on the road.

Los Angeles Kings at Las Vegas Golden Knights

Both teams fell short of the goal a year ago and will look to rebound this season. Vegas is one of the better teams in all of Hockey and will begin to make their move starting Monday. The Golden Knights are the deeper stronger team and will pull off the win to open the preseason Monday at home.
