NHL Preseason - Friday 9/30/22 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The NHL Preseason roll on Friday with 7 games across the day. Several real contenders will be in action, while several other teams are still trying to figure out what they have to offer. A loaded day of action will take place in the NHL on the final day of the month.

Tampa Bay Lighting at Nashville Predators

The Tampa Bay Lightning will carry a winless record into Nashville Friday night for a game against the Predators. Tampa Bay will again be one of the elite teams in the NHL this season but will likely rest most of their key players. Nashville will counter with an undefeated record, but most of their main guys will rest as well. This will still be a back and forth affair as Nashville does enough on their home ice to pick up their second win of the preseason.

Pick: Nashville Predators

New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils

The New York Rangers roll into New Jersey Friday night undefeated with one win thus far this Preseason. New York will play hard Friday night, but many of their stars will see limited or no action at all. New Jersey comes into Friday undefeated and will look to continue to roll. The Devils well again be a mediocre team this season but will play hard Friday night as they get their third win of the preseason.

Pick: New Jersey Devis

Toronto Maple Leafs at Ottawa Senators

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been stellar thus far this preseason with two wins through their first three games. Toronto will continue to play well as they control their game against a mediocre Ottawa team. The Senators on the other hand still have a lot of answers they are looking for and will continue to struggle on Friday. Take Toronto to continue their preseason dominance with another win on the road.

Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs

Washington Capitals at Detroit Red Wings

The Washington Capitals look primed and ready to go for the NHL season as they come into Friday night undefeated with one win. Washington will play well on the road but much like many other teams will rest a host of key players. Detroit on the other hand has been up and down thus far this preseason and will look to continue to iron things out as they get a needed win on their home ice.

Pick: Detroit Red Wings

Calgary Flames at Edmonton Oilers

The Calgary Flames have been perhaps the best team thus far this preseason and will continue to roll on Friday. Calgary will overwhelm a struggling Edmonton team leading to their fourth win of the season. Edmonton has yet to figure things out and will continue to rest and sit guys leading to their third loss overall.

Pick: Calgary Flames

San Jose Sharks at Anaheim Ducks

The San Jose Sharks come into Friday night undefeated and will continue that trend against a good Ducks team. San Jose is playing good hockey and will do enough Friday night in Anaheim to keep their undefeated record. Anaheim will also play well but will be unable to keep up as the Sharks improve to 4-0.

Pick: San Jose Sharks

San Jose Sharks at Vegas Golden Knights

The Sharks will play their other game Friday night as the squad is split in half. Vegas has been great thus far this preseason and will continue that trend Friday. Vegas will control and win this game as San Jose will be shorthanded.

Pick: Vegas Golden Knights.
