The Nashville Predators remain at home on Thursday night as they get set to host the New York Rangers. The Predators beat the Kings on Tuesday 2-1. Tanner Jeannot and Matt Duchene led the team with a goal each. The Predators will play their fourth straight home game as they are 1-2 on the season.

Saros stopped 25 of 26 shots in the win on Thursday night. The Nashville Predators allow just 28 shots on goal per game which ranks 3rd best in the NHL. 

The New York Rangers head into Nasvhville with a 2-1-1 record. The Rangers won in overtime in their last game 2-1 in Toronto on Monday. New York is riding a two game win streak and are 2-1 on the road. Winger Chris Kreider leads the team with 3 goals through the first four games. 

Igor Shesterkin will make his 4th start in the net for the Rangers. Shesterkin is 2-0-1 on the season with a 1.62 goals against average and a .949 save percentage. The Rangers lost to the Predators 5-2 in their last meeting back in 2019.

The New York Rangers have been playing much better hockey than Nashville early on this season. The Predators are coming off their first win after losing two straight getting outscored 7-5.
