Taking to the road in this game the Islanders have to travel not far from where the New York club has been playing, but it is a world away for the team itself. The downside is the road trip so far has not been kind to the Islanders who have dropped all 3 games so far in what can only be seen as an offensive collapse with only 1 goal in 3 games. That has dropped the Islanders record to 33-19-6 on the year.

Brock Nelson leads the Islanders in goal scoring on the year with 21 goals. Mathew Barzal has ended up with 30 assist and 48 points total for New York. The Islanders on the year have averaged out to 2.83 goals a game, but have allowed only 2.71 goals a game.

The Avalanche are heading into the game here after losing a close game to Tampa Bay. The final score ended up being 4-3, but it was a close game the entire time. The loss was the 3rd straight home loss on home ice.  The loss dropped the Avalanche to a 33-18-7record on the year so far.

On the year, the Avalanche have come to rely on Nathan MacKinnon on the year. MacKinnon has ended up getting 33 goals, 49 assist, and 82 points total on the year. When it comes to the offense the Avalanche have managed to average 3.55 goals a game, but have allowed 2.81 goals a game.

The Islanders offense has been horrible on the road trip this time around and now the Islanders face the Avalanche on the road and Colorado has a decent defense and took the Lightning to the limit with their offensive showing as well. Look for the Avalanche to continue to play great offense in the game here, but the Islanders offense to falter yet again and continue their anemic approach. Final Score Prediction, Colorado Avalanche win 3-1.
