The New York Islanders limp into the third game of the season winless thus far after a 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. New York found the net once in 30 shots against Florida as Oliver Wahlstrom did the work with one goal for New York.

Defensively New York was atrocious allowing five goals in 29 shots as Florida scored multiple goals in two of the three periods. Ilya Sorokin had a terrible game in the net posting a lackluster .828 save percentage after allowing five goals on 29 shots in 60 minutes on the ice.

The Chicago Blackhawks have looked terrible this season returning home on Tuesday with a 0-2-1 record on the year after a 5-2 road loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Patrick Kane by the way for the Chicago offense with one goal and 1 assist in just over 20 minutes on the ice. Henrik Borgstrom chipped in with one goal as well after playing just over 12 minutes.

Defensively Chicago was atrocious allowing 5 total goals in the game on 26 shots as four goals came in the 1st 20 minutes. Chicago used a 2 goalie set as Kevin Lankinen stop 15 of 16 shots against for a .938 save percentage,  while Marc Andre-Fleury struggled immensely allowing four goals on six shots in barely 11 minutes on the ice.

Both teams come into this game winless on the year looking to get things on track. New York is the better and deeper team and will lean on those traits to secure the first win of the year.
