The NHL playoffs start up Tuesday night as the Nashville Predators will be in Denver, Co to take on the Colorado Avalanche. Nashville finished the regular season 45-30-7 overall after losing four of the last five games played. Nashville lost the last game of the season 5-4 against the Arizona Coyotes after goalie Connor Ingram posted a .815 save percentage after allowing five goals on 27 shots.

The Colorado Avalanche finished the regular season as one of the top teams in the NHL at 56-19-7 on the year despite losing four the last five games played including two in a row after a 4-1 loss to Minnesota to end the season. Pavel Francouz was abysmal in the net for Colorado posting a .857 save percentage after allowing three goals on 21 shots.

Offensively this season Colorado has relied on a potent scoring attack everything 3.76 goals per game on 35 shots as a team. Mikko Rantanen leads the Colorado offense with 92 points this year to go along with a team high 36 goals on 254 shots.

Both teams come into the playoffs struggling as each team lost four their final five games overall. Look for Colorado to control this game however on their home ice with the superior offense in front of their home crowd. Take Colorado to do enough in game one to take control of the series.
