The Montreal Canadiens play their fifth consecutive road game Wednesday night in Vancouver, BC against the Vancouver Canucks. Montreal is running hot as of late winners of four of the last five and two including two in a row after a 5-2 win over Edmonton. goalie Sam Motembeault struggled early on but posted a shutout in the third period to post a .933 to save percentage after allowing only two goals on 30 shots.
Cole Caufield led the way for the Montreal offense with one goal and one assist on three shots in just under 21 minutes on the ice. Nick Suzuki added one goal and two assists and Brendan Gallagher chipped in one goal and one assist as well for Montreal.
The Vancouver Canucks return home Thursday night winners of four the last five games played including two in a row following a two goal win over Toronto. Offensively Vancouver was dominant finding the net six times on 29 shots in the game period JT Miller and Brock Boeser orchestrated the Vancouver offense with one goal and one assist each.
Offensively this season Vancouver has been a mediocre team averaging 2.8 two goals per game on 31.6 shots as a team. JT Miller does it all for Vancouver leading the team with 63 points and 41 assists to go along with a team high 22 goals on 133 shots.
