The Maple Leafs are playing great for the Atlantic, but would be in the middle of the pack in some of the other divisions. The problem for the Maple Leafs, though, is the fact the team has had some issues in getting caught up to the Lightning who are arguably the best team in the NHL on the year. So this could be a great game for the Maple Leafs and help them gain some minor ground, but probably not a lot.

The Maple Leafs on the year have had a decent net play from Frederik Andersen who has 20 wins, and has allowed 2.55 goals a game. Andersen has been able to save 92.2% of the shots sent his way. The Panthers on the year have been a team that has had quite a few struggles on the season. However, the Panthers are a team that has been playing horrible and not been able to really get a lot of wins on the season. The Panthers in fact are only 1 point out of last place and are coming into this game with 7 straight losses.

The Panthers are projected to send out Roberto Luongo who has managed to get 8 wins on the season. Luongo has only been able to save 88.2% of the shots sent his way, but allows 3.35 goals a game.
