Lightning at Sharks 1/5/19 - NHL Picks & Predictions

The Tampa Bay Lightning have one of the best rated offenses in the NHL this season so far. However, on the road trip so far the Lightning have been a dominant force and they do continue to look like one of the best teams in NHL and that should easily help them in securing a playoff berth, but potentially you're making a strong case for them being one of the final two contenders to the Stanley Cup this year.

So far this season the Tampa Bay Lightning have relied on Nikita Kucherov to lead the team in scoring with 65 points total of which 46 were assist. The goal scorer for the Lightning so far this year has been Brayden Point with a total of 23 goals. The San Jose Sharks have actually been one of those teams that is surprisingly still playing at a very high level on the year. This does come with some of the free agent additions from the offseason and how the team members have started to come together and are actually making the Sharks look like a great team. Now, this does not mean that the Sharks are going to continue to play at this level but it does make for them to be a potential playoff contender later on this season.

So far this year the San Jose Sharks have been able to rely on Brent Burns to lead the team and assist with 37 on the year and overall points at 44. Joe Pavelski is the leader when it comes to scoring the goals as he has managed to put in 24 goals on the season for the Sharks.
