With the Lightning their offense had a big breakout game in their last outing. The Lightning were able to put in a total of 7 goals in the game against the Maple Leafs. However, the game was a battle and it was one that the Lightning were able to come out on top. The downside is the Lightning defense still allowed a total of 3 goals in the game and that is fairly disappointing compared to what the Lighting did last season.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is the goalie who has led the Lightning on the year in the net this year. He has been able to allow only 3.06 goals a game on the year and has a 90.8% save percentage on the year. He has recorded a single win on the year and allowed a total of 6 goals this season.
The Senators have picked up on the year where they left off last season. The team has been missing defensively again and that it going to really be a problem all year. The offense the Senators have put on the ice so far this year has really improved and that is definitely something for the team to be very proud of and how they are playing offensively is great.
Craig Anderon has been the goalie in net for the bulk of the playing time for the Senators. This year he has allowed 4.56 goals a game, but has saved 87.5% of the shots that have come his way, which is decent, but he has still allowed a total of 9 goals this year.
