The Los Angeles Kings are heading to Calgary to face another Canadian team. The Kings, though, are going to try to get a different result in this game here as the Oilers were able to crush them in the last game they played. Granted, the game was one that did not see defense from either side, but it was a great game that showcased a lot of the power that the teams can bring to the ice at any given point in time.
Anze Kopitar definitely picked up where left off last season. Kopitar ended up getting a total of 3 points in the opening game. Those points came in the way of 2 assist and a goal, but it still was not enough to help the Kings avoid the loss.
The Flames are coming in with a five hundred record. The last game out for the Flames was a win, but both of their games have been very close on the year so far and that will definitely make a difference in the game here. However, one thing that the Flames do have is they have youth on their side and the team has been able to play decent with those younger players.
Johnny Gaudreau is the player the Flames have really come to rely on this year with the way that he has been able to play for the team this year. Just like last season he has been able to lead the team in scoring early on in the year. He has ended up getting a total of 5 points with 2 goals and 3 assist.
