The Las Angeles Kings (12-18-2) will visit the Anaheim Ducks (15-12-5) at the Honda Center. The Kings are coming off a 3-1 win against the Rangers, finally snapping a four-game losing streak. The Kings recently faced off against the Ducks on December 2nd where the Ducks won at home 4-2.

The Kings are led by Anze Kopitar who has 29 points with 11 goals and 18 assists on the year. Kopitar has four power play goals and 60 shots in total. Jonathan Quick will be getting the start as goalie. He is 8-12 for the Kings this year but allowed just one goal against the Rangers in the 3-1 win. He’s allowed 3.13 goals against.

The Ducks recently defeated the Wild in a shootout, 3-2 on Tuesday. The Ducks are led by Ryan Getzlaf who has 25 points thanks to 10 goals and 15 assists on the year. Jakob Silfverberg leads the team in goals with 11. He also has 10 assists on the year. John Gibson will get the start in net. He’s got nine wins on the year with a save percentage of .910 and he’s allowing 2.82 goals against. He made 22 saves against the Wild and turned away the shootout attempts he faced for the win.

While the Kings and Ducks both averaged about 2.5 goals per game, the Kings allow 3.22 goals per game compared to the Ducks 2.94. The Ducks, at home, finished off the Kings in the last meeting. The same will likely happen in this one.

The Kings are coming off off of a recent win over the Rangers. However, the win was at home and now the Kings are on the road where the Ducks beat them in the last meeting. Both of the offenses are fairly evenly matched and the two teams have not really looked that good recently either. Look for the Kings to come in playing strong, but the lack of defense in the game does not help the Kings as the Ducks are able to bring home the win in the game with a stronger defensive showing. Final Score Prediction, Anaheim Ducks win 3-1.
