The Winnipeg Jets look to bounce back from a loss when they visit the San Jose Sharks on Thursday in northern California. The Jets lost to the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 to snap a five-game winning streak. Winnipeg’s only goal was scored by Mathieu Perrault. Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves in net for the Jets. The loss was just the second for Winnipeg in its last 11 games.
San Jose won its fifth straight game on Tuesday after defeating the Minnesota Wild 4-0. Logan Couture scored a pair of goals while Martin Jones stopped 26 shots to post his first shutout of the season. Joe Pavelski and Lukas Radil also scored for the red-hot Sharks. San Jose has moved to second place in the Pacific division just three points behind first place Calgary.
